Locations
I have divided my galleries in to three categories; The Lake District, The Scottish Highlands and Other images (mostly The Peak District and Snowdonia). I believe these locations to be some of the most beautiful in the British Isles, but photography in such areas is not always easy.
From my base in the East Midlands, a round trip to the Isles of Skye for example is over 1000 miles. Often weather conditions in these areas are among some of the most changeable in the world. Western Scotland can have over 250 wet days per year; hence only small windows of clement/weather opportunity exist for the photographer.
As many photographers will appreciate it is a challenge to combine a full-time job with this passion for photography but next year in pursuit of this kind of imagery I am hoping to include the Outer Hebrides, Yorkshire dales and the Cornish Coast, please watch the site for updates.
